Summer Internships

All of our internships come with the promise of involvement in live projects from the outset, giving you a chance to show us what you’re capable of as we show you precisely what we do. Most placements last for about two months over the summer, although we also take on interns at other times of the year, depending on your region and according to business need. A summer internship will give you amazing insights into the firm and our industry through presentations, learning events, meetings with senior managers and various networking opportunities, in addition to the invaluable experience you’ll gain in your role.

All the while we’ll be getting to know you too. Impress us at this stage and the chances are you’ll receive an offer to join the graduate programme. Best of all, by that point you should have a deep enough understanding of Barclays Capital to decide that we’re the right firm for you.

We also offer first-year students a series of opportunities to gain an early introduction to investment banking, from one- or two-day insight events to the week-long Spring Session in Europe.

We’re looking for highly numerate, analytical individuals who have strong English language skills (both written and verbal). Knowledge of more than one European language is an advantage for some roles.
