An international Custodian requires a compliance manager to lead and manage a small compliance team. The main task of the role will be to ensure the delivery of all compliance reporting, implementation of rules, warnings and breach reporting. The successful applicant will need to provide leadership to the team and manage the day to day tasks of the compliance department. This will involve ensuring that SLA and met to the agreed standards, that all reporting is delivered to internal and external clients with-in required timeframes. The applicant will need to ensure that they are attracting, retaining, developing and training top calibre staff. Ensuring that all of their staff have a clear understanding of their responsibilities, goals and development plans. In the longer term the manager will also be responsible for ensuring that the department runs as efficiently as possible; reviewing procedures, processors and implementing more STP, all while reducing risk to the company. It will also be a medium term responsibility to assist in the migration to the Charles River system. Applicants will need to come from a similar compliance role and have some sort of management or leadership experience. They will also require a strong understanding of underlying business units including securities pricing, valuations/reporting, client service and performance analytics.
